5 of the Coolest Tech Features of the 2020 Dodge Charger The 2020 Dodge Charger comes with some great features, adding both safety and entertainment elements to an already high-quality car. Here are five cool tech features of the 2020 Dodge Charger you want to know about:

Dodge Uconnect

The Dodge Uconnect infotainment system in the 2020 Charger is an 8.4-inch touchscreen with connectivity to smartphones, access to a variety of navigation apps, entertainment options like SiriusXM, HD Radio, and Bluetooth streaming, as well as voice command capabilities. Vehicle Finder allows you to locate your vehicle from your phone, and SOS calls automatically for roadside assistance. This interface also includes climate control, seat heating controls, built-in navigation, and Sirius XM Travel Link, among other options.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow drivers and passengers to access features on their phones through the vehicle. These systems enable users to use their navigation apps, listen to music, listen to text messages, make phone calls, and access other approved apps with voice commands or by using the infotainment interface. Apple CarPlay allows iPhone users to access Siri voice control, Apple Maps, and Apple Music. Android Auto accesses Google Maps, Google’s Voice Assistant, and Waze.

Forward-collision warning with active braking

Forward-collision warning offers additional safety when driving the 2020 Dodge Charger. This advanced technology uses detectors to warn you of a possible crash. Sensors monitor the speed of the Charger compared to the speed of the vehicle ahead and measure how far apart the two vehicles are. The safety system turns on if the two vehicles get too close and warn you with a chime alert and a visual message. If you respond with too little brake force or not at all, the Charger’s active braking system automatically provides the adequate force, bringing the car to a complete stop.

Lane-departure and lane-keeping assist

This safety feature scans the boundaries of the road lane to keep you from drifting outside of the lines. When a turn signal is not turned on and the vehicle departs the lane, the LaneSense Lane Departure Warning system notifies you visually and audibly. Lane Keep Assist works in conjunction with the lane-departure system, which uses the electric power steering to lightly re-direct the vehicle back into the lane if you don’t course-correct right away.

Blind-spot monitoring

Another technology feature that helps keep you safe is a blind-spot monitoring system that alerts you when another vehicle enters one of your blind spots. A light illuminates on one of the side mirrors when a vehicle is in the blind spot of the corresponding mirror. A sound alert also goes off if another vehicle is coming up on the side of your Charger or if you have the turn signal on and the system detects another car in the blind spot of the lane you want to move into.
