Ram's 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty applies to 2026 model year vehicles, excludes fully electric vehicles
and is non-transferable. Ram puts it on the 1500, on most 2500 HD and 3500 HD trims, and on the gas ProMaster in Tradesman
trim.
Each 2026 Ram truck line carries these 4 coverages. On the ProMaster, they apply to the gas van in Tradesman trim.

Four Questions to Ask First
Your answers to these 4 questions decide how much the Ram warranty will do for you.
Which truck and model year are you buying? The powertrain term applies to 2026 model year trucks. For a truck from
another model year, ask us which terms apply.
Will you keep the truck or trade it? Ram's powertrain warranty stays with the original owner, so it does the most for
a buyer who keeps the truck for years.
How many miles will you drive, and on what roads? High yearly miles bring the mileage limits into play sooner, and
salted winter roads make the corrosion terms matter.
New or certified pre-owned? A new 2026 Ram carries Ram's new-truck terms, while a certified used vehicle is covered by
a separate factory program with terms of its own.
Ram Warranty Coverage by Truck
Which versions get the powertrain term varies from one 2026 Ram truck line to the next.
2026 Ram 1500
The 2026 Ram 1500 carries the powertrain term. If the job calls for a heavy-duty pickup, look at the 2500 HD and 3500
HD trims that carry the same term.
On the 2026 Ram 3500 HD, these 4 trims carry the powertrain term:
Tradesman
Big Horn
Laramie
Limited
If the powertrain term is part of why you're choosing a 3500 HD, pick one of these trims, or have us confirm the terms
on any other 3500 HD trim before you buy.
The 2026 Ram ProMaster gets the powertrain term on the gas van in Tradesman trim, in cargo van, window van and cutaway
versions. For other ProMaster trims, check the terms with us. If you need a pickup rather than a van, look at the
1500, which carries the same terms.
Ram puts 3 limits on its powertrain warranty, and each one can decide whether that coverage applies to you.
Only the 2026 Model Year
Ram ties the powertrain term to 2026 model year vehicles, so the model year of the truck itself is what counts. Check
it on any truck you're considering before you count on that coverage.
It Is Non-Transferable
Ram calls the powertrain warranty "Non-transferable," which means it doesn't pass to the next owner when the truck is
sold. If you buy a 2026 Ram used, from us or from anyone else, don't expect that powertrain coverage to come with it.
To shop used, browse our
used inventory
and ask us which coverage applies to the truck you like.
Fully Electric Vehicles Are Left Out
Ram leaves fully electric vehicles out of its powertrain warranty, so the ProMaster EV doesn't get it. The exclusion
applies to this one warranty. If a ProMaster EV is on your list, talk to us about the coverage on that van.
2027 Ram Trucks
For a 2027 Ram truck, confirm the warranty terms with us before you sign anything. We'll check the coverage on the exact
2027 truck you want, since the powertrain term applies to the 2026 model year.
Ask us about a 2027 Ram's warranty
and tell us which truck you have in mind.
The Rest of the Ram Warranty
Basic, roadside and corrosion coverage each run on their own terms, separate from the powertrain term.
Basic and Roadside Coverage End First
Basic coverage and roadside assistance run on much shorter terms than the powertrain warranty, so a truck can still
have powertrain coverage after both have ended.
Corrosion Coverage Has a Mileage Cap on the Heavy-Duty Trucks
On the 2026 Ram 2500 HD and 3500 HD, corrosion perforation coverage has a mileage cap as well as a time limit, so a
heavy-duty truck that logs big miles can reach the cap before the time limit. On the 1500 and on a gas Tradesman
ProMaster, the corrosion term has a time limit but no mileage cap.
Central Indiana Winters and Highway Miles
Winter salt and highway miles both affect how the Ram warranty works for drivers here in Central Indiana.
Winters here bring cold, snow and salted roads, and salt is hard on a truck's metal year after year. If you plan to keep
your truck through many of those winters, compare the corrosion terms on the trucks you're considering. Ram's full
warranty terms spell out what the corrosion coverage includes, and we can walk you through them.
Highway miles are the other factor. We're in Anderson, which sits on I-69 with quick reach to I-465 and Indianapolis. A
truck that makes that run every workday can pile on miles. Whether you reach a coverage's mileage limit before its time
limit depends on the miles you actually drive. Basic coverage has the lowest mileage limit, followed by roadside
assistance and then the powertrain.
Certified Pre-Owned Coverage
Factory certification on a used Ram is its own program, separate from the warranty on a new truck. Every certified
vehicle passes a 125-point inspection and comes with a CARFAX report. Learn how the
factory certified pre-owned program
works.
Each tier of the factory program carries its own terms.
Certified tier
Model years
Mileage
Coverage
Base
2020-2025
Under 75,000 miles
7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty (from original sale date) covering major powertrain components,

GO
2015-2025
Under 120,000 miles
3-month/3,000-mile Maximum Care plus major-powertrain coverage; deductible per visit
These are standard factory terms. The certified powertrain coverage is a separate warranty, not the new-truck term

Your Next Steps
Once you know how the Ram warranty fits the way you'll use the truck, the next step is the truck itself.
Request a test drive of the Ram
you're considering, and have us confirm its model year and coverage during your visit.
It's Ram's limited warranty on the truck's powertrain, and on 2026 model year trucks it runs 120 months/100,000
miles. It's non-transferable, and fully electric vehicles don't get it. Ram's full powertrain warranty terms
spell out exactly which parts are covered, and we'll go over them with you for the truck you're considering.
The powertrain warranty applies to 2026 model year vehicles. Ram puts it on the 1500, on most trims of the 2500
HD and 3500 HD, and on Tradesman-trim gas ProMaster vans. For a truck from another model year, ask us which
terms apply.
The 10-year term comes on 7 trims of the 2026 Ram 2500 HD:
Black Express
Big Horn
Warlock
Laramie
Power Wagon
Limited
Limited Longhorn
The same term comes on 4 trims of the 2026 Ram 3500 HD:
Tradesman
Big Horn
Laramie
Limited
For any other 2500 HD or 3500 HD trim, ask us to confirm its terms.
No. Ram calls it non-transferable, so it doesn't pass to the next owner. If you're buying a 2026 Ram used, have
us confirm what coverage applies to that truck.
Confirm the terms on a 2027 truck with us before you buy. The 10-year term is for the 2026 model year, and we'll
check the coverage on the exact 2027 truck you're considering.
No. Ram's 10-year powertrain warranty excludes fully electric vehicles. The exclusion applies to that one
warranty, so talk to us about the coverage on a ProMaster EV.
No. On 2026 trucks, corrosion perforation coverage runs 60 months with no mileage cap on the 1500 and on
ProMaster gas vans in Tradesman trim, and 60 months/100,000 miles on the 2500 HD and 3500 HD.
Basic coverage runs 36 months/36,000 miles and roadside assistance 60 months/60,000 miles on the 1500, 2500 HD
and 3500 HD, and on the Tradesman gas ProMaster as well.
Certified pre-owned coverage comes from a
separate factory certification program, not the new-truck warranty. For model years 2020-2025 under 75,000 miles, it carries a 7-year/100,000-mile
powertrain limited warranty from the original sale date plus 3-month/3,000-mile Maximum Care, with a deductible
per visit. See us for the details on any certified vehicle.
Bring it to our
service department, where our certified technicians will look it over. Tell us what you're noticing, and we'll explain how Ram's
coverage applies to the repair.
