The Ramcharger is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, giving it a standard all-wheel drive setup. A 92-kWh battery powers the motors, creating an output of 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. Unlike conventional EVs, the Ramcharger features a 3.6L Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. However, this engine doesn’t power the wheels; instead, it acts solely as a generator for the battery.
Thanks to the unique powertrain setup, the Ramcharger is capable of travelling almost 700 miles on a single charge. That’s more than enough mileage to obliterate range anxiety for good. It also offers up to 14,000 pounds of towing capacity and has a maximum payload rating of 2,625 pounds. This level of capability puts it well ahead of most full-size electric and even hybrid trucks currently on the market.
Fast Charging
The Ramcharger offers charging flexibility, with support for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 DC fast charging. Fast charging is supported at rates of up to 145 kW, which enables approximately 50 miles of range to be added in just 10 minutes. For at-home charging, drivers can use the 240V onboard charger to fully recharge the battery overnight. The Ramcharger can also act as its own power source for tools, appliances, or even your home during an outage.
Flexible Interior
The Ramcharger reflects the luxury, practicality, and versatility of the gas-powered Ram 1500 lineup. At the top is the luxurious Tungsten trim, offering leather upholstery, real wood accents, and 24-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The rear passengers can remain comfortable too with heated and ventilated second-row seats.
There is no shortage of storage space, with under-seat storage compartments, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and the optional RamBox Cargo Management System in the bed.
Advanced Technology Suite
The Ramcharger hosts the Uconnect 5 infotainment system on a 14.5-inch vertically oriented touchscreen, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, customizable user profiles, and over-the-air updates. In addition to the main touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display is available, which allows your co-pilot to assist with navigation or media.
