2023 RAM 1500
For the 2023 model year, the Ram 1500 is the most technologically advanced version yet. The 2023 Ram 1500 can aid in transporting your recreational vehicles, such as your boat, ATV, or camper, or even the necessary tools and equipment to the job site. If you are searching for a full-size light-duty pickup, the Ram 1500 should be at the top of your list. Look at the features truck enthusiasts cannot stop discussing before scheduling your test drive of the 2023 Ram 1500.
Trim Levels
An astounding nine trims are offered for the 2023 Ram 1500: Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. Options for a quad cab or a crew cab are offered for most trims, with the crew cab paired with short or long bed options, while the quad cab includes the long bed.
Even though both the quad and crew cab have four doors and a second row, opt for the crew cab to get a full-sized, spacious second row. Wheel size varies by trim, and the Ram 1500 will sit atop either 18-, 20- or 22-inch wheels. In addition, you'll find 60/40 swing-away doors, heated power outside mirrors, Bi-LED projector headlights, and a multifunction tailgate.
Engine
Based on trim levels, four engines are available for the 2023 Ram 1500. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. You can also go with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
Ram's only diesel offering is a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 that delivers 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the TRX gets an exclusive engine as a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 that garners 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Maximum towing and payload capacity rank among the most important features when comparing pickup trucks, and the 2023 Ram 1500 excels at both. The base 3.6-liter V-6 checks in with a 7,730-pound maximum towing capacity. The diesel engine can pull 12,650 pounds. Going with the HEMI 5.7-liter will get the highest towing power for the line, checking in at 12,750 pounds. Finally, the 6.2-liter HEMI included with the TRX can tow 8,100 pounds.
If you like to take your truck off-road, then the TRX trim is what you need. It adds upgraded engine cooling, an electronic locking differential, upgraded brakes, a unique lifted suspension with Bilstein adaptive dampers, and a performance exhaust system.
Interior
Experience convenience and luxurious comfort with the 2023 Ram 1500's impressive interior. Depending on the chosen trim, enjoy power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seating, and a stylish leather-wrapped steering wheel. Choose from upholstery materials, including vinyl, cloth, and leather, to suit your preference. With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, the infotainment system is powered by a touchscreen available in 5-inch, 8.4-inch, or 12-inch versions.
Safety Features
Safety and driver-assistance features are essential to today's drivers, so the 2023 Ram 1500 offers plenty. Standard safety features include an advanced airbag system, trailer sway damping, and a high-strength frame. If you select one of the higher trims, you'll find a blind-spot monitor, forward collision mitigation, an automated parking system, and a head-up display.
