2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a versatile SUV with the perfect combination of elegance and boldness. The higher-end trims pack luxury features into the cabin, and all models offer the off-road capabilities you expect from a Jeep. For the 2023 model year, a 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard in the Limited and Overland, and a 19-speaker stereo is available for the Overland and Summit. Here's a look at some of the details for the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Trim Levels
The entry-level Grand Cherokee Laredo comes with 17-inch wheels, roof rails, LED headlights, and heated side exterior mirrors. The Limited adds LED foglights, 18-inch wheels, and a power liftgate. If you have the Trailhawk, it comes with all-terrain tires, an adaptive air suspension, front tow hooks, and a gloss black roof. The Overland has 20-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, and a panoramic sunroof, and the Summit adds upgrades to the cabin. You can also get the Grand Cherokee in the 4xe plug-in hybrid model and the three-row L.
Engine
The standard engine for the Grand Cherokee is a 3.6-liter V-6 that puts out 293 horsepower. The 4xe four-cylinder plug-in hybrid is optional for select models and delivers 375 horsepower. There's also a 5.7-liter V-8 gas engine for the Overland and Summit that generates 357 horsepower. The V-6 comes standard with rear-wheel drive and offers four-wheel drive, and the other two engines come standard with four-wheel drive. All the engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Any of these engines provide the Grand Cherokee with plenty of power, whether you're tackling urban streets, the highway, or off-road terrain. The Trailhawk is the most capable off-road model, with its adjustable air suspension increasing ground clearance to 11.3 inches. This trim also has a disconnecting sway bar that creates greater wheel articulation for driving over rugged terrain.
Interior
There's room for five in the regular Grand Cherokee and seven in the extended L. It has dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and cloth upholstery. Leather upholstery comes in the Limited and above, and these trims also have driver's seat memory settings and heated rear seats. The higher trims also offer ventilated front seats and four-zone automatic climate control. The upper-level trims also offer a 10.1-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen. Additional tech features that Jeep makes available include navigation, a nine-speaker Alpine stereo, and a 19-speaker McIntosh stereo system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with several advanced driver aids. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors. The Lux Tech Group Package adds a 360-degree surround view camera, front cross-traffic alert, and front parking sensors with automatic braking. You can get these features along with a night vision camera with the Trailhawk if you add the Advanced ProTech Group. The Overland and Summit make the front parking sensors standard.
